As I've mentioned before, I'm going to trailer the Buick from California to Portland, Oregon later this month. I don't want it exposed to the highway the whole time, so I want a cover to keep it safe on the journey. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good cover/brand I can use?
In return, I have an E39 smoking some tires for you.

The only comment I have is a recount of what happened to a friend of mine trailering a covered car across country. When he got to the destination, he found that several areas of the body had the paint really scratched and dulled up from the cover whipping in the wind. Even the soft inner part of a good cover will do damage over time. He wishes he had rented an enclosed trailer now.

Car cover might scratch or mar the paint. I think there are car wraps available for open trailered cars.

Head to the nearest marine supply store and pick up a roll of boat shrink wrap. It'll protect the paint better and is less likely to blow away at highway speeds like a car cover might.

Get painters tape and cover the front really good. Lots of people in the BMW community do it for trackdays and roadtrips.
